Welcome to the SPAN website, please be aware that this site is new and will be populated with more content as the network grows. The Scottish Prison Arts Network (SPAN) is a focus group of artists and organizations working in criminal justice settings. It aims to bring practitioners together with the collective goal of delivering high quality creative projects in prisons and communities across Scotland. It seeks to develop clear and sustainable relationships with organizations and individuals involved in the criminal justice system in order to enable greater access to the arts for Offenders and those being released from prison. SPAN will serve as a forum in which artists can discuss ideas, share practice and develop strategy for growth. It will also serve as a central information hub signposting individuals and families affected by the criminal justice system to creative projects and relevant opportunities across the country.
